Hi Everyone! I have to start out by saying this was the craziest shoot I have had to do! My friend Staci and I drove into town to have lunch at Tiny Boxwoods ( a super adorable and delicious restaurant), then take some pictures. In the River Oaks area, the streets are lined with these majestic Live Oak trees and are beyond beautiful. During the shoot, we would have to run back to my car and hide under the hatch because it kept raining off an on. We would take five pictures, then it would downpour, we would hide, then the sun would pop out for a minute, then, back to downpour! Needless to say my hair greatly suffered! This is why I named my blog Haute and HUMID! IT IS SOOOO HUMID HERE! Like every day is 90% humidity or higher. BLECK.
So, any who…Pantone – the company who is basically the color God, released their color of the year a while back and it is Marsala. It is a gorgeous merlot meets brick red color. I have also been into dressing in tonal colors so I decided to mix this orchid shirt with my favorite uber chic monogrammed clutch and these beautiful suede marsala colored flats. This infinity scarf is the perfect because the material is not super thick. I love the gray and white print on it because it is neutral enough to wear with a lot of tops.
Have a great weekend and don’t miss out on Marsala!
XOXO
