Who else has started shopping for spring? I feel like the winter to spring wardrobe transition can be a bit tricky. I have started buying a few pieces here and there but with the unpredictable weather, I’m not totally packing away all my winter staples. Items like booties and knit sweaters are perfect for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring. I partnered with Nordstrom to share some tips on how to incorporate your winter pieces in with some of springs newest trends.
5 Tips For a Winter to Spring Transition Wardrob
1.Lighten Up The Denim
During the winter I am usually reaching for black or dark blue denim. With spring on the horizon, you’ll see me pairing my sweaters with white jeans or lighter wash denim.

2. Jackets & Blazers
One of my favorite tips is taking my most loved winter blazers and using them as a jacket. Utility jackets are also a must. They still provide warmth on those chilly days or look really cute with a winter sweater.
3. Sweaters & Sweatshirts
Don’t pack those sweaters up just yet! Pair them with a flowy midi skirt, white jeans or distressed mom jeans and a pair of mules. This lightweight tie dye sweatshirt is a new favorite. The material isn’t bulky and tie dye is a hot spring trend.

4. SHOES- Mules, White Sneakers & Peep Toe Booties
Peep toe booties and mules have been shoe staples for a while now and I don’t foresee them going away. I love a good peep toe bootie but when I have a lot of walk to do or just want a quick slip on shoe, mules always win. Another winter to spring wardrobe trend that will be hanging around are white sneakers. I have these white sneakers and LOVE them. They are comfortable and on trend without having to wear a full on athletic sneaker.
5. Pastels & Neutrals
Pastels for spring….groundbreaking. I know this is nothing new, but after the usual gloomy weather I am excited to see some color. Nordstrom has some of the cutest tops to help you transition your closet from winter to spring.
