Summer is right around the corner and that means shorts and swim suit season is creeping in. It’s time to get those perfect summer legs ladies! I want to see all you strutting around like Giselle on the catwalk showing off your fabulous summer gams.
Summer Legs
1. Shaving
First, start with an amazing high quality razor. I have fallen in love with Harry’s razors from WalMart. They are a men’s razor, but the quality and shave surpasses any women’s razor I have used. They have a sturdy, strong blade and weighted handle for an extra close shave that helps reduce the chance of nicks and razor bumps. You can buy additional cartridges in a four, eight or sixteen pack. If navy isn’t your jam, they JUST launched this pretty surf blue color just in time for summer!
I asked you guys a few weeks ago about the blue handled razors from Harry’s and the reviews were phenomenal! You raved (we’re talking over 100 DM’s on Instagram) about this razor so I knew it was a slam dunk, must try product! Of course I went on WalMart.com and ordered some ASAP because I HAD to try them. I also love that you can order online and choose curbside pick up or in store pick up.
Looking for a Father’s Day present? My husband and his friends are really into shaving right now. They love trying new razors and shave creams and testing new shave balms. Harry’s razors would make a great gift for any guy. You could create a package with all the Harry’s accessories as well! They have a great collection of exfoliating face wash, shave cream , moisturizer and post shave balm . I know guys are notoriously bad about using sunscreen, but the Harry’s moisturizer has and SPF 15! Add a few of the refill cartridges and you’ll have the best Father’s Day basket for your husband, boyfriend or dad.
2. Exfoliating
Before you shave, make sure to exfoliate. Exfoliating your legs is important before you shave because it sloughs off all the dead skin that can clog the hair follicles. Clogged hair follicles lead to ingrown hairs. No one likes those pesky red bumps popping up. Have you tried this new exfoliating body scrub from Dove? I found it at WalMart a few weeks ago and fell head over heals in love.
3. Shave Cream
Make sure you find a good quality shaving cream that will help your razor glide across your legs. I love Satin Care Sensitive shaving cream from Gillette. It has aloe vera and is specifically designed for sensitive skin. Using a great quality shaving cream ensures a soft smooth skin each time you shave. If you are looking for a great quality men’s shaving cream, try the Harry’s shaving cream with aloe.
4. Moisturize
After you shave it’s always a good idea to seal in any moisture with a really good lotion. I usually shave my legs at night and then slather Gold Bond lotion all over them. This lotion is not greasy and really locks in the moisture for super soft legs.
5. Self Tan
Now that your legs are borderline super model status, it’s time to take them to the next level and get that golden summer legs glow. I’ve sang it from the mountains how I love St. Tropez self tanner. If you have never used this self tanner you can try this foam and apply it quickly and easily with this mitt. Protect your precious skin and stay out of the sun!
Have a great beginning to your summer!
XO- Sara
Thank you to WalMart for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
