It is the week before Thanksgiving, so I am going full on festive with fun plaid tops. Today we are going to tackle how to style plaid head on without looking all Paul Bunyan. I’m ready to get my tree up and jam out to some good old fashioned Christmas music.

How To Style Plaid Tops
Layers
When styling plaid tops I love to add layers. Add a puffer vest, denim jacket or scarf. I also like to add chunky crystal necklaces or a long tassel necklace to make it more feminine looking. Large earrings are also fun and feminine against the plaid pattern. If you have a longer plaid tunic wear it with leggings like these faux leather ones.
Layer With:
Unbuttoned and over a tank or tee
Under a cardigan
Blazer / Velvet Blazer
Add a scarf
Fur Vest or Puffer Vest
Chunky necklace
Long Necklace
Print Mixing
Above I added a herringbone print vest with the larger plaid print and a leopard clutch. The two smaller prints from the vest and clutch contrast with the larger and darker plaid top I am wearing.
