Well, it’s official, embroidered sundresses and the beach are my happy place. Maybe I can sell snocones on the beach or rent out those chairs to all the tourists?
Across from the condo we stayed at I saw these amazing beach houses and made Justin drive me over to gawk. Friends, we are talking Ah-Mazing!

OUTFIT #1
Enough day dreaming…time to get down to the business of clothing. Today I am sharing my three favorite embroidered sundresses under $150.
I love Madewell clothing but sometimes the price tag says “No Thanks” I was walking through Nordstrom and saw this perfectly striped embroidered sundress that will help me survive the brutal Texas heat. The original price tag said ‘who nelly’ but then I checked online and it was on sale for less than $100 – I may have done a happy dance in the dressing room. I really like embroidered products at the minute, my friend told me about some great patches she found on thecheapplace.com/categories/embroidered-patches/iron-on-patches so I’ll check them out!
The sizing does run really big. I am typically a 4 in dresses but this one has an elastic back and generous fit in the stomach area so I went down two sizes to a zero. The shear fact that I bought a zero made me a happy camper! #itsthesmallthings
This sunhat is the perfect neutral hat with the perfect price tag. You can’t beat an under $25 sunhat! Plus, mama has to keep this face out of the sun. I don’t need any more wrinkles or melasma popping up.
Travel Tip: I ball up my pajamas and put them in the top of the hat so it doesn’t get crushed in my suitcase.
OUTFIT #2
This off the shoulder sundress is made of jersey material so it is stretchy, extra soft and basically feels like an amazing t-shirt. Any excuse to not wear pants is a YES in my book!
This brand tends to run small but because this is a shift dress I would probably stick with my regular size so I don’t look like I am about to go parachuting.
OUTFIT 3#
I just ordered this dress and LOVE how versatile it will be when fall or winter rolls around. Houston doesn’t really have fall or winter but as soon as that temperature drops to 80 you better bet your bottom dollar everyone will be wearing a long sleeves and a pair of booties.
This is also a shift type dress so I sized down for a less flowy look. I am pear shaped so I like things to be a bit more fitted. The less material gathering around my rear the better. This comes in black, cream, red and pink. I ordered the pink because I’m a colorful kind of gal.
This dress is perfect for the summer because it is lightweight and flowy. During the fall/winter I will pair it with these MUST HAVE faux leather leggings and booties. If you don’t have a pair of these leggings, we maybe can not be friends anymore. I kid…sort of.

Currently they are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. These leggings normally run almost $100 but are on sale for $64! I am wearing a medium. If you aren’t a cardholder, Public Access to the sale STARTS FRIDAY JULY 21st.
