One Piece Swimsuit– multiple colors, wearing a medium // Kimono Coverup – multiple colors // Shorts – size up // Straw Tote – customize your saying! // Sunglasses // Flip Flops– same brand but similar here , also love these // Kids Swimsuit
1- Workout
Before you cue the eye roll and say “Duh Sara”. This may seem obvious, but working out helps me feel confident when it comes time to putting on a swimsuit. Even though I may not lose those last five pounds, getting out and taking a walk or being active helps me feel better in my skin.
2- Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water really helps my skin stay soft. The sun can really dehydrate you and chlorine water from the pool can dry out your skin. I try to fill up this tumbler cup three times a day. That way I know I am drinking almost 100 oz of water a day.
3- Spray Tan
Have you heard the saying tan fat looks better than white fat! I recently went to GLO and tried the Versa Spray tan in this post and loved the results. If you prefer to spray tan at home, I swear by this exfoliating mitt and this self-tanning foam. Be sure to moisturize your skin daily for long lasting results.
4- Great Fitting Suit
When trying on swimsuits, make sure you love how the suit fits. I prefer to order online and wear it around the house for a while. I make sure the top is supportive and stays up. Does the bottom ride up your rear? Nothing drives me more batty than constantly pulling and tugging at a swimsuit. I also have different suits for different needs. The one piece swimsuit I’m wearing above is still cute but great for taking care of kids. I just picked up this tropical two piece for when I am lounging by the pool!
5- Versatile Cover-up
This kimono cover up is perfect for throwing on over a swim suit but it looks equally adorable over a white tank and a pair of denim shorts. I also love having a light weight pair of shorts. Shorts are great for playing with kids on the beach and throwing on when you plan on having dinner on the lake after a day on the boat.
Most of all, feel confident in yourself and your body! Have fun and enjoy the outdoors with your friends and family. After all, they won’t remember your love handles, thick thighs, or cellulite. They will remember the amazing times you spent together creating memories.
Happy Monday Friends!

Thanks for the tips! The shorts and one piece are super cute! May I ask what size do you normally wear? And does this swimsuit have removable bra cups/padding? Thanks!

Hi Jasmine! I went up a size in the swimsuit and am wearing a medium. It only has a lining but no removable bra cups.
