Winter Fashion Trends That Won’t Go Out Of Style:

Basics are the best pieces to fill your closet with.  You can dress them up if you are headed to a party or happy hour or dress them down for a casual lunch or a visit to your kids’ school.  Luckily some of the most popular winter fashion trends are also very classic pieces that will last you through the years.  Topshop at Nordstrom is the perfect brand for mixing trendy pieces with classic pieces.  If I want to find something really on trend at a reasonable price point, like this faux leather moto jacket, I always turn to Topshop.  Of course Nordstrom is my go to because they offer buy online, pick up in store along with free shipping and returns.  Curbside pick up is my go-to for when I’m really in a rush.

TREND: Camel Colored Coats

One of the most popular winter fashion trends this year are camel colored coats.  What I love about this one is the touch of men’s wear inspo.  It isn’t super preppy and has more of a cool, relaxed vibe.  The color is perfect, it isn’t too short or too long and the fabric is soft.  I also love that it is budget friendly.

Living in Texas I didn’t think I would need a coat but last year it snowed three times.  As I type this temps are dropping into the 20’s.  Bring on ALL the coats!

TREND: Monochrome

What is a monochromatic look and how do I pull it off?  A monochromatic outfit includes wearing different shades and tints of the same color.  To make it easy, I stick with my blue or black denim and keep my top, jacket, hat, scarf and shoes in the same color family.

This beige Topshop stretch knit sweater creates the perfect monochromatic look when paired with the camel colored coat.  I kept the upper half of my look monochromatic.  I added these leopard booties which act like a neutral for a pop of interest.
