Glowing winter skin has always can be a real struggle. Down south the temps are constantly changing. One day it can be 80 and drop down to 50 the next day, which reeks havoc on our skin. My skin tends to be flaky and then breaks out from dryness.
I am constantly trying new products but one thing I don’t change up in the winter is my skincare routine. A while back Olay came out with their Whips moisturizers. I loved them but my skin can be sensitive to fragrance. Recently they came out with their NEW Fragrance Free Olay Whips formula which is available at Walgreens. Walgreens is my favorite drugstore. On my stories, you know I am always popping in there for a new nail polish or budget friendly skincare. I have been using the Fragrance Free Olay Whips Regenerist for over a month now and my skin has never been better. I also love the added anti-aging properties without the heaviness. Bye bye wrinkles!
Another great benefit to the fragrance free Olay Whips Regenerist is it acts like a primer under your makeup. Any product that is a 2 for 1 is a YES in my book. Even my photographer’s dog Toby loves it!
I can’t wait to start with glowing winter skin this season. I have 5 secrets to keeping your skin hydrated and smooth all winter long:
7 Tips for Glowing Winter Skin:
1.Skip Hot Water- Wash your skin in lukewarm water and use a non stripping facial cleanser like Olay Cleansing Infusion.
2.Moisturize- Moisturize your skin immediately after washing. Fragrance free Olay Whips moisturizer with SPF 25 is great for daytime application. At night I prefer the fragrance free Olay Regenerist to help with fine lines. Applying moisturizer to damp skin will help seal in the extra water.
3. Exfoliate- Because I have sensitive skin I prefer to use a chemical exfoliation gel or I head to my local esthetician for regular exfoliating facials. Light chemical peels or dermaplaning are a great way to exfoliate.
4.Humidify- In Texas we are used to 90% humidity 8 out of 12 months. When the temps drop and the humidity leaves my skin automatically dries up. Putting a humidifier in your bedroom at night is a great way to keep skin hydrated.
5.Mask- If you notice your skin needing extra moisture, grab a hydrating sheet mask. Walgreens offers to many budget friendly sheet masks.
6.Supplements- Always consult your doctor first but a great multivitamin or vitamins C & D as well as fish oil can help keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
7. Drink More Water- This can be a hard one for me but I really try to fill up my large Yeti at least three times during the day. That way I know I am getting at least 90 ounces of water a day.
