OUTFIT DETAILS

As you can probably tell hot pink is getting me through this cold and mostly dreary January. I feel like it energizes me and makes my pasty skin glow a bit.  Hot pink is one of those colors that looks fabulous on everyone. It instantly draws attention to you and makes you shine. I actually do not own a ton of sweaters because we usually have a mild winter here in Texas. This sweater though was one I had to have. It is a basket weave sweater so it is still light feeling and not too bulky. Besides the color, the length totally sold me. This sweater is tunic length so it covers your rear, which is great for leggings, skinnies or with my favorite faux leather leggings ( which are on SALE!).  I was telling myself I was out of the diaper bag stage but really I just traded it in for this tote! Kate Spade is such a timeless designer who makes top notch handbags. I am in love with this black tote and what would you know, it is hot pink inside!

This weekend my husband was gone so I took the kids to the park and then on Saturday we had a movie and picnic night. Movie night is a little special night I treat them to when daddy is out of town. I let them pick a “special” place to get to-go food like McDonald’s or Subway, we rent a movie or two from Redbox and head home. I lay out a big blanket on the floor and we eat our food picnic style while watching our movies. Paige will still not watch much tv. Yes, sometimes I need a moment of silence and if she would watch a 15 min show it would bring me a little mental sanity!  So,  I usually end up doing a puzzle with her on the floor while Pierce watches the movie. We rented Hotel Transylvania 2 and The Minion Movie.  The Hotel Transylvania movies are super cute and even have a few funny one liners for adults.  I wish I could say I have seen an adult movie lately but I always end up falling asleep!
